About ME

My name is Nelly Kotova. I am an artist living in Limassol.

I paint abstract works on canvas. Most of them begin not with an idea, but with a feeling that is difficult to explain in words. Sometimes it's just a quiet inner movement that slowly turns into color and form. I don't always know where a painting will lead. It appears gradually, almost as if it is finding its own rhythm.

I like to imagine that eventually it finds its place in someone's space — a home, a studio, an office. And that one day someone will pause in front of it for a little longer than usual and feel something of their own..
